The Entrenched Federal Government Worker
One of the tricks of politicians is to entrench government employees so they will vote for, at the very least, the status quo.
If you happen to work for the Federal government, the status quo is pretty darn comfortable.
Consider this…
In 2005, the number of Federal government workers making more than $150k/year was 7,420
Today, that number is 82,034
In 2005, the number of Federal government workers making more than $160k/year was 2,852
Today, that number is 44,898
In 2005, the number of Federal government workers making more than $170k/year was 1,322
Today, that number is 27,845
In 2005, the number of Federal government workers making more than $180k/year was 805
Today that number is a mind boggling 16,912
If you ever wondered why government employees fight tooth and nail against any kind of austerity, the answer lies within the figures above.
In order for a government employee to vote for a spending cut, it means they will be voting against their families self interest.
Government bureaucrats know this. Why do you think the proposed “pay freeze” by the President last December wasn’t really a freeze at all but rather a temporary moratorium on “cost of living” adjustments. It does not stop the (almost automatic) “step increases” from continually adding to their salaries.
But then again, why would you need COLA when you are making $180k a year with great benefits and no chance of being fired.
You can expect these numbers to go up again this year because entrenched government employees equates to votes for entrenched tax and spend politicians.
The figures above came from an analysis by USA Today from data from the Office of Personnel Management (or OPM).
In business, the acronym OPM means “other people’s money” which is fitting because it’s not their money…it’s taxpayers money!

The entire plan is not to “solve” problems but to smash the middle class and entreprenureal spirit.
The transfer of wealth is the plan, to raise energy costs, advance unemployment, foreclose on homes and wipe out retirement and investment savings.
By this method all opposition is neutered while those ot the “nomeklature” i.e. Unions, Governmental Elites, the plutocratic rich (soros) gain all power!

I’d be curious to know how many of those in the $150K+ federal employees are our senators, representatives and other appointed/elected officials. We have to be careful though, b/c some of the government workers are well educated professionals (doctors caring for our wounded warriors for example) who could easily be making double their salary in the civilian sector but do this because it is truly public service. Despite a high appearing salary to some, not everyone is overpaid!

and food in there belly, Now things arn’t that way, people are starving there are no jobs to be had and we still allow thousands of illegals in our country so the fat pigs can get fatter with cheap labor. Our govenment
gines out money to people that are just to lazzy to work, and this has been going on for years. Americans are afraid to say any thing about the way our govenment is takeing more and more from us in taxes to pay for all the people that have 5,6,7, childern and daddy is not going to work becase he has 2or3 moms at home on welfair. Now there are more people with there hands out than people working, It had to happen, then here comes oboma and he is a lier cheat and a muslim that is trying as hard as he can to take all of our right away.
Do you really think he was voted in? That thing was put in office just like probably the last at least 10 persidents. I know a lot of people that will read this will think i’m crazy, but there are 300 or so of the very riches people and companys that have run this country for years. I could go on and on ,then there are enoughf people that are hungry they will do something. If they stand for it that is there foult. To bad i’m to old to see this, I damm sure would rather be dead than a slave. Liberty or Death
I have a son who is a single father. He barely makes enough to keep body and soul together. He works for a large corporation whose CEO makes millions. The fat cats and the government workers make the big bucks and the rest get whatever is thrown at them. Social security hasn’t had a raise in 2 years but those government salaries just keep going up. Keep contacting your representatives. It could help a little. Most of them don’t listen.
I am forwarding this page to everyone on my email mailing list. It is so very important for everyone to know how our tax dollars are being spent. I have grown children with families that would love to make this kind of money. Their belts are on the last hole from tightening up. They are learning how to make do with what they have and are grateful that they have jobs – although not as high paying as the government workers.
Too many people have their heads in the sand to whats happening in politics today and by golly, I am making it my job to inform – whether they like it or not.
