Obamanomics vs. Reaganomics
Yesterday would have been Ronald Reagan’s 101st birthday. I, like most of us, miss his leadership.
So in remembrance of the “Gipper” let’s compare how Ronald Reagan’s economic policies and recovery from a recession compare to the policies and the “recovery” of Barack Obama. In order to do this effectively let’s take a look at some charts comparing the two (thank you to Dan Mitchell from the Cato Institute for putting this data on his website). This data is from the Minneapolis Federal Reserve.
This first chart is how the jobs market fared under both Reagan and Obama post recession. As you can see, Reagan’s policies caused a very significant sharp upturn in job creation. So much so that it literally goes off the charts. Under Obama we have not even recovered the job losses yet. In fact Reagan’s job recovery was so powerful that, if counted in today’s dollars and metrics, a family of four would have an extra $22,776 in real GDP and almost 17 million more people would have jobs.
The next chart compares the growth of the U.S. economy, or GDP, under Reagan and Obama post recession. As you can see, again, the Reagan recovery was much more vibrant than the “recovery” that this administration is selling us on. Just like the chart above the GDP recovery was so powerful that it literally went off the charts and just like the chart above, the Obama recovery is lagging far behind.
These two charts show the stark contrast between what happens when you free up capitalism and when you thwart it. It is clear that Obama’s policies are prolonging the effects of the recession. Big government apologists will say that the Obama recovery has been hindered by the economy that he inherited from George W. Bush. There are impediments to any recovery after a recession. The last time I checked I have yet to find a video of Ronald Reagan blaming Jimmy Carter for the mess he left him.

To even put this muslim prez in the same sentence as RR is a discredit to RR.
To call Obama a Muslim is just unfair … to Muslims.
Karl Marx had a plan for the US, Spend spend spend under the guise of recovery, Bust the Goverment.Blame the Capitalist for the failure.
Marx believed to much spending would break the Gov. Reagan believed it I believe it and Obama believes it.
Entitlement you are only entitled to free things in America only if you never worked for anything in you life.
Fifth generation welfare, five generations who never worked a day in their life??? The absent father children sitting at home playing on an X-Box donated by some sucker feeling sorry for the government assisted recipient.
Both my parents worked and raised six sons and two daughters on less than a welfare check.
We never got assistance always had food on the table and clothes on our backs. Clean clothes too. The rent, gas, and electric always got paid the first of the month.
Government assistance was for poor people. A poor person was the lady whose husband died in an unforeseen accident, had two children and was sick with a conic disease.
Entitlement; too many people receiving benefits (free stuff) that they never worked for and will never ever work for.
Those of you that own homes, paid your taxes, paid your oil, gas, and electric bills. Beware before you are ever entitled to Entitlement you must first lose your house your home and your life savings before any one will help you. That’s right! You have to give up all that you worked so hard for all your life before anyone or government agency will lift a finger to help you. Once you are destitute Johnny Come Lately will come and ask you; “How did you get yourself into this mess”?
This happen here in good old up standing Greenwich, Connecticut a hard working family lost their lively hood because of an unforeseen accident. And all that any one can say is:
“I feel sorry for them” Being sorry never helped anyone.
The fifth generation welfare recipients will continue to get their entitlement and some sucker every Christmas will ask their children to give up their Christmas and donated their Christmas gift to an unfortunate family. Fortunately one family out of every ten thousand or so families who really deserve it will be a happy recipient
I remember relatives coming from out of town a different occasions they would stay at our rented apartment because they were always welcome. Some how there was always enough at dinner for everyone. Potatoes I remember lots of potatoes and home made bread.
Everyone in the family looked out for each other. My mother comes from a family of ten children and my father a family of six children. Family looks out for family.
A big problem in America, The American Family values are dwindling.

The primary difference between Reagan and Obama?
Reagan believed that the purpose of goverrnment is to best serve the people.
Obama believes that the purpose of people is to best serve the government.
Do you want government of the People, by the People, for the People or do you want government controlling every aspect of your life? If the government leaves most things to us, including how we conduct business, it needs far less. What this president and his people fail to understand is that government is supposed to be a caretaker with a sharply defined and restricted role, not a ruler and/or overseer.
Reagan was right. Obama is wrong. Or else what’s a Constitution for?
ONE THING THAT ALWAYS BOTHERS ME ABOUT THE POLITICIANS TALKING ABOUT JOB CREATION IS THAT THEY DO NOT TALK ABOUT THE QUALITY OF THE JOBS. A JOB LOST IN ENGINEERING IS GENERALLY NOT EQUAL TO A JOB IN RETAIL OR A FAST FOOD RESTAURANT. THEY SHOULD REPORT IN A WAY THAT ALSO RATES THE QUALITY OF THE JOBS.
THE QUALITY DOES COUNT VERY MUCH.
Daddy, I’ve been stomping my feet about George now for 3 full years, I need some new shoes, these are wore out and I want to keep on running and running and running till they make me KING of the world. Please dad sent me some shoes… hurry…you know how I GET WHEN I DON’T GET MY WAY….I’ll start blaming you and Mom for bringing me up in Kenya, or Singapore, or was it Hawaii…let me check the birth certificate I seemed to have lost.
1. “The danger to America is not Barack Obama, but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the Presidency. It will be far easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their president. The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails America . Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The Republic can survive a Barack Obama,
who is, after all, merely a fool. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools, such as those who made him their president.”
I guess you can count me as one of those “fools” because I decided to read about both Obama and McCain and discovered that McCain knew absolutely nothing about credit default swaps, the repo market or anything else related to the economy. Obama was well versed in those topics. So much so that stunned many economists with his understanding of the economy.
Obama may not have done everything right but if you think McCain would have the economy better, I think you are completely deluded. The guy was still saying that the economy was strong when economists were saying that we were heading into a deep recession.
It takes research to get the truth. It’s not going to be handed to you by the 1% through an entertaining TV show!
How’s that working out for you?
Hey Russ, lets see, $5 Trillion in additional debt in 3 years, Almost 2 million jobs lost since he took office. $800 Billion in stimulus that created almost no real jobs except Government jobs. Bailout of GM & Chrysler to save the Unions & their healthcare & pension benefits while screwing the stockholders. No plan to reduce welfare and retrain them for a new job. Gas prices at $1.87 when he took office and are now at $3.67. Refused to let a pipeline be built that would have created over 30,000 jobs. If you think that is understanding economics, you & Obama must have gone to the Karl Marx School of “How do I screw over the people of the US”. Get real & open your eyes.
It sounds like you are a victim of spin. For instance, the stimulus created a couple million jobs, according to independent economists. And they weren’t government jobs. If you look at the numbers, the job losses have been in the public sector and the continuous job gains that we have seen under Obama havae been in the private sector. How do you square that data with your logic? Also, much of the $5 trillion increase in the debt was spending that occured before Obama took office, as well as interest on the debt that existed before Obama took office.
Is the job count for the XL pipeline up to 30,000 now? The count seems to keep going up as they oil industry tries harder to make a case of this nonsense. The last credible estimate I heard was around 20,000 job years. Yes, job years, not jobs. Either 20,000 jobs for a year or 10,000 jobs for two years or 1,000 jobs for a year. That’s not really going to turn our country around now is it?
Unfortunately I can’t past links to external sites here on GGW so if you want to get educated, you’ll have to look up the information yourself. Trust me though, real information is not going to be handed to you by a television personality or radio personality. Therefore, if you get your “news” from commercial TV or radio then you should know why you are misinformed.
Russ: You pretend to be informed, yet fail to mention the one issue that COMPLETELY DWARFS all others: The GAO says we’re TODAY 50 years of ALL Income AND Social Security taxes short for current commitments.
So, the only question is whether you’re like all the other condescending denier bozos, or someone who actually gives a damn about the truth, and the pursuit of wisdom.
@GOP2: Yes, I just “pretend” to be informed. It’s simply coincidence that all of my facts are accurate. What is your question?
We got what we paid for, a Facebook president, shame on us for being so ignorant, this is the best explanation of our current situation , cannot let it happen EVER again ,
This comment sums up the American Problems in a nutshell.
Reagan killed America, and everyone knows this fact. He unleashed a force Americans never knew they had, BLANTANT GREED. Americans are known for their generosity, and comes Reagan and American corporations become flesh eating wide mouth beasts, and these beasts Mr. Reagan emboldened have been eating Americans for living.
I can’t say I agree totally with your opinion of Reagan but I do agree somewhat and it is nice to know that GGW isn’t 100% people in the Republican bubble. Most of the posts on here are so ignorant and misinformed it is frightening. Both parties suck and neither one is going to fix our problems. They have not incentive to. If we don’t engage in direct democratic action then our country will be lost.
What so many people don’t realize or won’t admit to is that Regan exploded our national debt. Of course you can live high on the hog when you are running up debt like there’s no tomorrow. And now the same Republicans want Obama to eliminate our debt, balance the federal budget, recover the 4+ million jobs that were lost under Bush, strengthen the military and do it all without spending any money and without cooperation from Congress. How exactly do you do that? It seems non-sensical to me.
I can’t say whether Obama has done things right or wrong (other than to quote the majority of independent economists who say that he has done a good job of managing the economy) but not to recognize the serousness of the resession we are in is ignorant.
This guy has no clue about facts or any brains. And he does not even have to reveal his party, he showed us that without even a word.
How many registered lobbyists were encamped in D.C. at the beginning of Reagan’s term vs. how many at the end? He opened the flood gate of special interest and it’s been rising ever since. Greed? You betcha!
Greed and reagan? You’ve got to be kidding me. LBJ is the founder of greed. You get something for nothing on someone else’s dime. Cuba might appeal to you.
Excuse me, but wasn’t the “Obama recession” much, much deeper than the Reagan recession? The two charts are complete B.S. becaus they suggest that each president started from the same point. The recession we are in is far worse than the 1981 recession.
Also, consider the timeframes: Reagan took office in January, 1981. That recession started in 1981. It’s a bit difficult to blame Carter for that (although, some of Carter’s policies were certainly to blame). This recession started in 2007. Obama took office nearly two years later, in January of 2009. AND he was still working with Bush’s budget (and managing Bush’s two disasterous wars) until October of 2009. The recession was in full swing when Obama took office, with no hope of recovery.
I don’t enjoy having to defend Obama or any politician but most independent economists agree that Obama has done a good job of managing the economy that Republicans had a big hand in ruining. Criticize Obama if you like, but the economy is teetering on the edge and President Romney, Gingrich or Santorum will drive it over the cliff! If you support Ron Paul, fine. Otherwise, do your research and understand where we are, how we got here and how we recover, or else we’re doomed.
CAN WE PLEASE DISCUSS FACTS INSTEAD OF DISINGENUOUS AND ERRONEOUS GRAPHS, INTENDED TO DECEIVE PEOPLE???
Where did you go to school ? They may have given you books but never taught you how to think. That part in your eyes are left to Government.
I went to school in Northern California. Great schools and excellent education, thank you very much. I may not have learned how to think in school but I picked it up somewhere because I have an I.Q. of 140.
Obviously you cannot argue with any of my comments so I guess the personal attacks will have to substitute for intelligent debate. (sigh)
Well said. I don’t agree that Ron Paul is necessarily the answer, but the basic comparing Reagan and Obama’s economic records are plainly silly! Two completely different situations. America has been marching toward an economic point-of-no-return for decades. No one wants to hear or believe this and Obama will have a difficult time getting re-elected banging this depressing-drum. But as they say, the facts are the facts. America MUST cut entitlement programs, military spending, and anything else possible to avert an economic catastrophe. There are no easy answers — at least none that politicians will get away with for much longer. The party is over… Time to pay up! I agree — this sucks! But don’t blame Carter, Reagan, Clinton, Obama, or whoever is next. We have to accept blame for acting fat, dumb, and lazy while watching bad TV on the giant screen TV’s we bought on credit in homes we can’t afford. Yes, you can also blame the banks for making this SO easy to do, but we have to take some of the fault…
Depressed in America,
David M Swan
Amen! We really have no-one to blame but ourselves. We’ve allowed our government to work against our interests for a long time and now that the game is up, we want heads to roll. We can punish politicians by not voting for them but another corrupt jack@$$ will continue the pattern. We need direct democratic action (protests, demonstrations, boycotts, strikes, etc.) to fix this.
Was the congress controled by the Dem majority in ’07?
That two years caused what?
Followed by Dem controlled congress until ’11?
Who did what when?
Research?
Just the facts ma’am
Russ, I don’t know where you got your info from, but they are so wrong it appears you made them up. Facts from the Federal Reserve: Under Jimmy Carter inflation was 15%, the prime rate was 17% & unemployment was 12%. Facts are from the CBO, Congressional Budget Office. Check them out. What Reagan did was put more people back to work, 16 million, lowered taxes and with the new multitude of taxpayers brought in more revenue in two years then JC did in his 4 years. Putting people back to work in the private sector is what stimulates the economy not government jobs. Also, GWB added $4 trillion to the debt in his 8 years. We agree that is not good. However, this President has added $5 trillion in just 3 years and the latest CBO estimate is that could go to $6 trillion by the end of his 4 yrs. BTW in 1980 I purchased a house at 14% interest rate, 3 yrs later under Reagan it was 8% and 3 yrs after that the rate was 6%. That’s what happens when you know how to run a government. Next time state where you get your facts from, so we can check them.
@ Mike B: My facts are common knowledge for anyone that has been paying attention. Do you deny that we had a recession in ’81 and one in ’07? If not, what are your questions regarding my facts? Do you disagree that the current recession is deeper than the one in ’81? If so, just read an article about it.
Also, your statistics do not contradict any of my statements. I know that they are true. But to look at one thing and then claim a President is good or bad because of it is beyond ignorant. Interest rates were high under Carter. Was it his fault or the fault of Congress or others? I couldn’t say. But Carter did reduce our consumption of foreign oil significantly (1). No other president has come close to that (in fact consumption has gone up consistently) and that is a very important issue. Interest rates were low under Reagan. But consumption of foreign oil went through the roof, inflation was high and he raised taxes on people many times (2). How is it that so many Reagan “scholars” fail to mention that? And Reagan exploded the national debt (3). Of course you can borrow a ton money from foreign countries to improve the lives of people in the US. That’s not necessarily a good thing. By the way, taxes are lower under Obama than they were under Reagan (4) and interest rates on homes are now at about 4%, so, by your own analysis, Obama is a better president than Reagan!
I like Reagan too but I like him for the things that he ACTUALLY DID and I dislike him for things that he ACTUALLY DID (like getting the US sued for $17 billion (5)). Likewise, I dislike Obama for continuing the same war crime behavior of George Bush and even expanding those policies. I like Obama for his handling of the economy and natural disasters, combating terrorists, dealing with hostage situations and our relations with allies.
Politics is not about who’s sitting in the White House and what jobless numbers/interest rates/inflation rates are at that moment. There are a multitude of factors that control these things. Both parties have been complicit in ruining this country and no presidents have made any serious attempt to correct the factors that have led our country into its current weakened state. if you think that a president of either party will fix it then my suggestion would be to hold your breath and wait for it to happen…
Why is it that I have to provide you the facts that you should already know? Perhaps you should just look to better sources of information.
I can’t post links to external sites on GGW so you will actually have to do some research on your own. Trust me, no television personality or radio show personality will give you any “real” information…

BTW Russ, Ben Bernanke said yesterday morning (Tuesday 2/7/12) that the economy WAS NOT doing well and may get worse by the end of the year. So much for truth from the President.
A president will never be truthful about the state of the economy when it’s bad. Name one president that ever has. Doing so could lead to runs on the banks, plummeting of stock prices and panic and uncertainty in the markets. I’m not a big fan of Obama but, all things considered, I give him high marks on his handling of the economy.
One of the biggest differences between the two recessions is the sheer numbers of people on the public dole who don’t pay any taxes. We have legacy welfare and the numbers grow daily. A big difference are the masses of people receiving “financial help” who don’t need it, yet the government itself encourages the “fraud!” If you do your homework, it is way too easy to scam the system ‘with the blessing’ of those we elect and those who handle the “financial help” process. Congress isn’t held accountable by we voters, so why do “WE” expect anything else but what we are getting?
Couldn’t agree with you more. When you give people hand outs unstead of a hand up you are just asking for trouble. Take away a persons pride and they have no future. We need jobs and job training. If your too lazy to work then you shouldn’t expect and help.
One big difference, because I was laid off when Regan took the presidency, is that Regan freed up the free enterprise environment that Carter had held down. It wasn’t all Carters fault, he was just a confused liberal. The inflation was enormous when Regan took office, I could not sell my house because the interest rate was over 13%, and many rates were near 20%.
Obama however, removed and or obligated money from the private sector and paid off his union and public workers for their donations with the private workers and busines’s money. In effect Obama stole the economic recovery and placed it in the public sector which is mainly expense. Leave the private sector alone, and WE will dig our way out of this, even providing jobs. Because of the ratio of public workers and their high average salaries and benifits compared to those who pay their wages it is right now way to heavy to have enough economy to raise up the poor, and Government workers are now the rich compared to the average private worker. However Private workers and business have had from 25% to in my business 70% cuts for awhile. I am back to about 50% of the better times. However you can’t even ask a public employee to cut back and help or they react. But both parties are spending way to much, there is a point, and we have probably passed it where things will really slow or worse, hope not, but looks like it to me.
At my age I have seen and been through many recessions. The truth is plan and simple and has been before our eyes for many years.
The US currently cannot pay the interest on the money we owe. The free bees have caught up with us and we cannot efford all these promised free programs with out the money to pay for them so we barrowed to pay for our own instead of earning it through job growth.
Here we are close to the point the US will fold as Argentina did, yes check her last 100 year history. The second most powerful economy in the world 100 years ago.
Is it a bad thing, only for those who are living off free bees from the government. They just might have to work to rebuild our economy which means Washington will really have to creat jobs not just lip service.
What a concept, working for a living as our father depending on your age and grand fathers. The government cannot tell the truth about any thing. This baby boomer bubble has taken us down, balony every one of them had some kind of taxable income which increased our governments income by 300 fold. Problem is it was spent before it was earned.
Paul is right! Paul is right! Paul is right! Paul is right! Paul is right! Paul is right! Paul is right! Paul is right!
Obama still has his training wheels, and they are all flat. His interests are the huge bunch of high payed, under worked cronies he has hired. Most of them are Socialists and communists. He is stopping growth in jobs with ObamaCare, favoritism to big Unions and China.
Blaise, this is devastating evidence against the socialists (Democrats). Please provide the link to Dan Mitchell’s work. I have looked at his stuff on the Cato site and do not find it.
It is on International Liberty, his private blog.
Lets face it, Obama does not want a recovery, his aim is to drown us with debt and break the country, simple as that.
Finally someone gets it!!
Just research who Obama looked to for mentoring.
Saul Alinsky
William Ayers
Rev Wright and Obama’s own father. You are who you associate with. Why is this so had for American’s to grasp? Spend a few hours. Read up on these guys!
Even worse than that, as mentioned in one of his books, he was trained by Frank Marshal Davis, from the time he was 10 to about 18, Davis is a Hard Core Communist who was banned from the US because of how radical he was. That is why the hatred for white europeans. Same with England, Obama returned Churchill bust. That bust belonged to the American people, not Obama. He hates those who colonized africa, and says they stole their money from poor people, makes sense right??? He also hates our heritage and of course the thing he wants to replace, The U.S. Constitution. His statement that “America is no longer a Christian Nation if it ever was, in fact it is more of a Muslim nation.” He may be right that we are not very Christian anylonger, but we were very Christian, is he hinting that he is going to turn this country over to Muslims? I know of good Muslims who don’t want that! But things are looking much more muslim in the military and around Obama.
Don’t give up your arms, whatever you do.
Jim
Why would Obama want that? Did you actually think about that or did you pull it out of an inapproriate orifice? Hey, maybe you heard it from a TV personality or radio personality? It must be true!!!
Simple. He believes in government more than people, because big government gives him power and that’s what he’s after. He reviles the Constitution as a document of negativevalues…yep, negative to the government; positive to the people. Government does not give us our rights. Their job is to protect our rights. They suck at it.
I think Robert Gerlach was on ‘lunch-break’ from his public school teaching job!
“SOME IDEAS ARE SO STUPID, ONLY INTELLECTUALS BELIEVE THEM.”

Unfortunately, during the time that Reagan took office, we were not facing the world crisis that is taking place today. Any solutions put in place today will need to incorporate the effects from the overseas economies as well as the problems in the US. Who knows how long that will take, probably several decades, and it will probably get worse before it gets better. A toothpick is not very effective in propping up an elephant. Our worst fear is whether the world leaders will respect the wishes of the US not to become totalitarian in order to solve our issues. How long can we hold out, who knows?
The world needs a true leader who uinderstands the free market economy. Obama not only doesn’t understand it, he doesn’t want to understand it and his policies and socialist idea’s prove it.
Action must be taken! We can claim this is a global issue and it certainly does have some merit, but to sit by and wait until the other countries approve of any action we take is plan ol weak! No leadership there!
Look at it this way. If you live on a street where mo of your neighbors are in finanical turmoil, you included, are you going to take action to correct “your” situtation or will you wait, grower deeper in debit, while you wait for your neighbors approval?

Unfortunately, during the time that Reagan took office, we were not facing the world crisis that is taking place today. “” Oh no???? What about the crisis in Iran, which actually began, thanks to Jimmy Carter, the scourge of islamofascism. The height of the Cold War. The economy was a disaster.
PLEASE remember this and make it the question of the year:
Are you better off now than you were when Obama took office?
Diane, take a look at the real numbers. This recession was far worse than the one in ’81. If you cannot admit to that then you are not being honest. And the world is always in turmoil but almost the entire world is struggling economically right now. That makes a difference in a lot of ways. It affects international trade as well as international credit availability, etc.
We’re not going to get a good president out of the current line up but Obama is more than likely the best choice of the bafoons.
Patti, the USA does not have to worry about the rest of the world. We can go on by ourselves and succeed.
This is the most intelligent post I’ve come across on here. It is nice to know that not all of the site’s members are trapped in the Republican bubble!
Diana is quite correct! The recession under Cater was disaster! I was 25 and my first mortgage was 16.5%!
American’s have been lead down the liberal road for the past 50 years+. Libs will never listen or believe what really works in a free economy. They just want something for nothing. Free stuff is great at someone else’s expense! The USA is on the brink of financial disaster! Obama keeps saying (heard it again last night news) he want to “change” America, but he never, ever, says in what shape or form. He knows if he does he’s sunk! If you think taxing the wealthiest will solve “any” prodlem then your own ignorance is the real problem!
How can so many people be blind to the fact that Obama and his administration’s agenda is to take America down the path of socialism where BIG GOVERNMENT controls every facet of your life. No more free enterprise; no more individualism and no more creativity.
Regan INCREASED the size of government and government was about 20% higher than Obama’s government. Reagan served 81-89. Check the numbers. http://www.opm.gov/feddata/HistoricalTables/TotalGovernmentSince1962.asp
The difference between the recessions is minute in terms of the cause. The difference between them in terms of how the incumbent Admin reacted is almost diametrically opposed. The root cause affects the downturn side, and the actions of the Admin in response to the recession mostly affect the length of the recession, the severity of the recession, and the recovery trajectory. One need not be a rocket scientist to understand these realities.
The recession that Reagan came into was a LOT worse than it was in 2008. I am old enough to remember. The country was in the toilet then like it is now. When Obama got into office things were better than they are now. Who is better off now than they were four years ago? Not too many.
The only people that are better off are government workers, union bosses, and liberal wacko’s. All the rest of us are paying higher prices for the daily esentials needed to live.
No Mr Lincoln , they weren’t at all alike, Reagan had inflation, unemployment, slow business growth and relatively high prices for everything and low wages. But he knew that if you let the markets recover without alot of intervention, capitalism will do what it does best – grow at a steady rate. Granted, back then the politicians didn’t have the ability to play in the markets the way they can now…. So look what happened!
re: Robert’s assertion the numbers are BS.
Prove it. Talk is cheap. Which specific numbers are BS? Cite the correct numbers (or charts) and where that corrected data comes from.
Blaise cited where these numbers came from, a source that can be fact checked.
Simply asserting something is wrong doesn’t make it so.
I love it! Well said, you took the words right out of my mouth. Thank you for putting it so eloquently and without name calling and profanity.
Your numbers are BS
These number come from the Minneapolis Federal Reserve, but thank you for taking the time to write and try to cast doubt. By the way, what branch of government do you work for?
Regan’s “recession” wasn’t anything like the one Obama is dealing with. The comparison isn’t valid.
Really?
In 1980 mortgage rates were close to 20% – inflation was double digit – we could only buy gas 3 days /week determined by the last number on your license plate – unemployment was 12% – what part of that was worse than 2008?
Just because you say it – it doesn’t make it true. Wake up to the facts, not the liberal lies!
Smaller government, increasing free markets, jobs and more freedom U.S. citizens.
It would make my dream come true if this were to happen.
My response is to John about my dream coming true. Sorry.
